"Boom Boom" gehört m.E. zwar nicht unbedingt zu den hearausragenden Klassikern des Blues, aber das Stück hat trotzdem etwas an sich. Vor allem, weil es auf Grund seiner Schlichtheit ein echter Ohrwurm ist.

Blues, so wie ihn mir auch schon ausgemalt hatte. Jazz war mir immer lieber, von Klassik mal ganz schweigen. Wenn ich einen ganzen Abend über derlei klingende Bluesmusik hören müßte, könnts mich danach glatt wegbringen nach Bedburg Hau. Da dies aber (hoffentlich) nie passieren wird, vergebe ich noch 4 Sterne.

Wahrscheinlich sein bekanntester Song. Dabei kannte ich als Kind erst die Coverversion von den deutschen Lords. Mein Bruder hatte deren 'Que sera'-Single und da war das die B-Seite.

Die Stellen, wo er singt wie am Anfang gefallen mir gar nicht und dass nicht mal wegen seiner Stimme. Flottes Duell zwischen Orgel und Gitarre. Der Freiraum für die Instrumente ist saucool.
