This song is about a woman's infatuation for a gay man. In the video, the woman (played by Céline) ends up kissing him after dressing up as a man. The video also contains full male nudity.
Who would have thought Céline would have a song and video like this - especially something from 1993? And it was a #2 hit in France and was certified gold. To say the least, I'm shocked.
It's not bad though; in fact I'd say the video is reasonably well done, and the song itself sounds pleasant, even though I can only understand a few words here and there. There was an English version too which solves that, but I don't think it's fair to review a French song based on a translation that could completely change the charm of the original for all I know. |
